Trying out for the 2010 USA Dance Team


Application Requirements For Dance
  • All team members must be at least 18 years of age by January 1st, 2010.
  • Online application must be posted online by December 4, 2009.
  • All team applicants must be able and willing to have additional practices to prepare from January-April 2010.
  • Teams must be able to travel to Orlando on or around April 19-25th, 2010.

    Selection Process
  • Phase I: Teams will submit their video audition no later than December 4, 2009.
  • Phase II: Teams will be evaluated by the USA Cheer Selection Committee in December.
  • Phase III: The team chosen to be Team USA Dance will be announced on January 1, 2010.

    How To Apply Online For Dance
  • Qualified teams must be officially recognized by the athletic program of a College/University or affiliated with an All Star Program.
  • Team members must be a minimum of 18 years of age as of January 1, 2010.
  • The following items must be received by December 4, 2009:
    - Completed Team USA Dance application with team roster.
    - A $200.00 per team application processing fee. Checks should be made payable to USA Federation for Sport Cheering
    - DVD/video audition: DVD/Video Requirements:
  • Teams may consist of a minimum of 12 dancers to a maximum of 24.
  • Males and females are allowed to participate on the team.
  • Each audition is required to consist of the following: (1) complete Pom Routine done to music, a minimum of 2 minutes in length, (1) complete Jazz Routine done to music a minimum of 2 minutes in length and (1) complete Hip Hop Routine done to music a minimum of 2 minutes in length.
  • On January 1, 2010, the team chosen to represent the United States in Dance for the ICU World Championships will be announced here on www.usacheer.net.
