Athletes Travel to Louisville for Team USA Tryouts!

Over 90 top athletes traveled from across the country to try and make the inaugural Team USA. An all girl and coed team of 30 each will be chosen from this last group of finalists to represent the United States in the first ever ICU World Cup.  James Speed, coach of the University of Louisville, Jomo Thompson, coach of the University of Kentucky and Tony Nash, coach of Morehead State University have been chosen as this year's coaches and will be taking the next few weeks to fill the cheer's version of the "Dream Team."  The team will be announced at a press conference in Orlando on January 18th.

The USA Federation for Sport Cheering is a not-for profit 501(c)(3) and is the national governing body for sport cheering. USA Cheer exists to serve the cheer community, including club cheering (All Star) and traditional school based cheer programs. USA Cheer has three primary objectives: help grow and develop interest and participation in Cheer throughout the United States; promote safety and safety education for cheer in the United States; and, represent the United States of America in international cheer competitions.
